Manufactured from high-strength, weather-resistant POM plastic, the 8×35 mm dowel will not shrink, swell, or rot, ensuring long-lasting reliability in both interior and exterior applications. Its medium length makes it ideal for cabinetry, furniture, and architectural millwork, where dependable strength is needed without over-penetrating thinner materials.

For permanent joints, combine with KNAPP-Adhesive PU+ (Z011/1). The dowel’s grooves and end holes ensure even adhesive distribution and maximum anchoring strength.

Steps

1. Predrill boreholes (8–8.2 mm diameter recommended for insertion machines, or 5/16″ (7.9 mm) when inserting by hand for a tighter fit).

2. Optional: Apply KNAPP-Adhesive PU+ (Z011/1) into the borehole for a permanent bond.

3. Insert the dowel using a dowel insertion machine or hammer in by hand.

4. Assemble the workpiece with a rubber mallet.

Tips

• Borehole diameter slightly under dowel size ensures the best self-grip.

• Oval groove design applies pressure to two borehole walls, ideal for edge use.

• Dowels can be screwed in and out if adjustment or removal is needed.

• Recommended borehole depth: approx. 40 mm.

• For CNC machining: chamfer melamine or laminate surfaces 0.5–1 mm.
