ACRO 46×47 Beam Connector

The ACRO 46 x 47 Beam Connector is the smallest concealed connector in the ACRO system, engineered for compact timber assemblies where precision, clean aesthetics, and fast installation are essential. Like all ACRO connectors, it uses identical interlocking components that form a secure, force fit connection within a shallow routed recess.

Manufactured in Austria from high strength, blue zinc coated steel, the ACRO 46 x 47 is ideal for light interior structures, modular assemblies, cabinetry style joinery, and architectural detailing. The connector’s self tensioning screw configuration allows fine adjustment of joint pressure, accommodating timber shrinkage and movement while maintaining a tight, stable fit.

Because it remains completely hidden, it offers a refined alternative to exposed brackets and is well suited for small scale constructions that require a clean finish without visible hardware.

Use only self tapping screws compliant with ÖNORM M5027.

• End grain: 5 pcs SK 5 × 60 mm

• Side grain: 4 pcs SK 5 × 40 mm

Load Capacity

• F0 = 1.43 kN* shear force in insertion direction

* Load values taken from testing by Holzforschung Austria (HFA). Valid only when using approved self tapping screws per ÖNORM M5027 (5×40, 5×60, 6×40, 6×60 mm).

Material

• High strength blue zinc coated steel

• Rout an 8.5 mm deep recess using a Ø 15 mm slot cutter with a handheld router or CNC.

• Insert connector components into the groove and align properly.

• Install the correct quantity of screws based on grain direction.

• Slide connector halves together until the joint fully engages.

• Adjust screw tension to refine compression within the joint.
