ACRO 46×62 Beam Connector

The ACRO 46 x 62 Beam Connector is a compact, fully concealed timber connection designed for light structural applications where clean detailing, fast installation, and dependable performance are required. As part of the modular ACRO system, it utilizes identical interlocking components that create a precise, force fit joint inside a shallow routed recess.

Manufactured in Austria from high strength, blue zinc coated steel, this connector supports efficient prefabrication and rapid on site assembly. The self tensioning screw configuration allows fine adjustment of compression within the joint, accommodating natural timber movement while maintaining a secure, long term connection.

Because the hardware remains completely hidden inside the timber, the ACRO 46 x 62 is ideal for small interior structures, modular framing, and architectural applications where visual quality matters as much as structural stability.

Use only self tapping screws compliant with ÖNORM M5027.

• End grain: 6 pcs SK 5 × 60 mm

• Side grain: 6 pcs SK 5 × 40 mm

Load Capacity

• F0 = 2.11 kN* shear force in insertion direction

* Load values taken from testing by Holzforschung Austria (HFA). Valid only when using approved self tapping screws per ÖNORM M5027 (5×40, 5×60, 6×40, 6×60 mm).

Material

• High strength blue zinc coated steel

• Rout an 8.5 mm deep housing using a Ø 15 mm slot cutter with a handheld router or CNC.

• Insert the ACRO components into the recess and align with the screw locations.

• Install the required screws based on grain orientation.

• Engage the connector halves until fully seated.

• Adjust compression using the screws to achieve a tight, accurate joint.
