ACRO 62×47 Beam Connector

The ACRO 62 x 47 Beam Connector is a compact, fully concealed post and beam connection designed for small to mid scale timber structures where clean visual detailing and reliable structural performance are essential. As part of the modular ACRO system, this connector enables precise, force fit timber joints that are easy to prefabricate and fast to assemble on site.

Each connector is manufactured in Austria from high strength, blue zinc coated steel and interlocks within a shallow routed recess. This creates a tight, self tensioning joint that accommodates natural timber movement without compromising stability. Because the hardware remains completely hidden inside the wood, the finished assembly maintains a seamless architectural appearance.

Use only self tapping screws compliant with ÖNORM M5027 to ensure tested load performance.

• End grain: 7 pcs SK 5 × 60 mm

• Side grain: 5 pcs SK 5 × 40 mm

* Load values based on testing by Holzforschung Austria (HFA). Valid only when using approved self tapping screws (5×40, 5×60, 6×40, 6×60 mm) per ÖNORM M5027.

Material

• High strength blue zinc coated steel

• Austrian manufactured for accuracy and durability

• Rout an 8.5 mm deep recess in the timber using a Ø 15 mm slot cutter with a handheld router or CNC.

• Position connector elements and prepare screw locations for precise seating.

• Install the required screws based on grain orientation.

• Engage connector halves inside the recess until fully seated.

• Adjust screw tension as needed to ensure complete compression and alignment.
