ACRO 62×62 Beam Connector

The ACRO 62 x 62 Beam Connector is a compact, concealed post and beam fastener engineered for clean architectural aesthetics and reliable structural performance. Part of the modular ACRO system, this connector enables precise, repeatable timber joints that can be prefabricated with ease and assembled rapidly on site.

Manufactured in Austria from high strength, blue zinc coated steel, ACRO connectors interlock inside a shallow routed recess to create a force fit, self tensioning connection. The design allows natural timber movement while maintaining consistent clamping pressure across the joint. Because all components remain hidden within the wood, the finished structure presents a seamless appearance with no visible hardware.

Required Screws (sold separately)

Use only standard self tapping screws per ÖNORM M5027 to maintain tested performance.

• End grain: 8 pcs SK 5 × 60 mm

• Side grain: 8 pcs SK 5 × 40 mm

* Load values based on testing by Holzforschung Austria (HFA). Valid only when using approved self tapping screws (5×40, 5×60, 6×40, 6×60 mm) per ÖNORM M5027.

Material

• High strength, blue zinc coated steel

• Manufactured in Austria for consistent precision and durability

• Rout an 8.5 mm deep recess in the end grain or side grain using a slot cutter Ø 15 mm (hand router or CNC).

• Position connector components and pre drill screw locations as needed for accuracy.

• Install the required screws according to grain orientation.

• Interlock connector sections inside the recess until fully seated.

• Adjust screw tension to ensure proper joint compression and alignment.
