ACRO 90×90 Beam Connector

The ACRO 90 x 90 Beam Connector is a concealed, self-tensioning connector engineered for clean, accurate, and visually unobtrusive post and beam joints. Manufactured from high strength blue zinc coated steel, the connector locks into a shallow routed recess and creates a dependable, force fit connection while remaining fully adjustable and fully removable when required.

The modular ACRO system allows complex joining scenarios to be created from a small number of standardized components. This provides high flexibility in prefabricated timber construction, supports controlled shop assembly, and ensures rapid and predictable installation on site. Joint compression can be fine tuned through the screws, enabling compensation for minor timber tolerances without restricting natural wood movement.

To achieve the tested performance values, only self tapping screws per ÖNORM M5027 may be used.

• End grain: 8 pcs SK 6 × 60 mm

• Side grain: 8 pcs SK 6 × 40 mm

• F0 = 5.40 kN* shear force in insertion direction

* Load values refer to testing by Holzforschung Austria (HFA), valid only when using standard self tapping screws (5×40, 5×60, 6×40, 6×60 mm) per ÖNORM M5027.

Material

• High strength blue zinc coated steel

• Connector components manufactured in Austria

• Rout a concealed pocket approximately 8.5 mm deep using a handheld or CNC router.

• Position components and pre drill screw holes as needed.

• Fasten connector parts according to grain direction.

• Slide components together inside the recess until fully seated.

• Adjust screw pressure to ensure clean alignment and proper joint compression.
