MEGANT 310 x 100 x 40 – Heavy Duty Beam Hanger

The MEGANT 310 x 100 x 40 is a pre engineered high capacity beam hanger system built for mass timber post and beam and girder connections. Manufactured from precision machined aluminum, the system uses two connector plates and a paired set of interlocking clamping jaws that automatically lock the connection once engaged.

Installation is possible from any direction — top, bottom, or either side — with only 19 mm of insertion travel required to fully seat the connector. The system compensates up to 3 mm of manufacturing or installation tolerance and supports fully concealed installation for improved fire performance. MEGANT provides consistent, repeatable assembly for shop prefabrication as well as rapid on site construction.

MEGANT connectors are suitable for timber to timber, timber to steel, and timber to concrete interfaces and are approved under ETA 15/0667.

• 34 pcs fully threaded 8 × 160 mm screws installed at 45° per ETA

Material

• Aluminum alloy AW 6082 connector plates and jaws

• Threaded rod assembly per ETA specifications

• CNC or rout the housing for concealed installation, or mount plates flush for visible installation.

• Pre drill 45° and perpendicular screw holes using a MEGANT drilling jig for accurate positioning.

• Install both connector plates with the required fully threaded screws.

• Insert and tighten the clamping jaws and threaded rods until fully seated.

• Slide the beam into place — only 19 mm of travel is required for full engagement.

• Once engaged and tightened, the connection becomes immediately load bearing.
