MEGANT 310 x 150 x 50 – Heavy Duty Beam Hanger

The MEGANT 310 x 150 x 50 is a pre engineered high capacity beam hanger system designed for mass timber post and beam and girder connections. Manufactured from precision machined aluminum, the system consists of two connector plates and an interlocking pair of clamping jaws that automatically lock the assembly once engaged.

The connection can be installed from any direction—top, bottom, or either side—with only 19 mm of insertion travel required. The system compensates up to 3 mm of installation tolerance, supports fully concealed installation for improved fire resistance, and provides highly repeatable results for both factory prefabrication and on site construction.

MEGANT connectors are suitable for structural timber to timber, timber to steel, and timber to concrete interfaces and are approved under ETA 15/0667.

Material

• Aluminum alloy AW 6082 connector components

• Threaded rod assembly per ETA specifications

• CNC cut or rout the housing to the MEGANT concealed-installation dimensions, or mount plates flush for visible installation.

• Pre drill angled and perpendicular screw holes using a MEGANT drilling jig for accurate placement.

• Install connector plates with the approved fully threaded screws.

• Insert the clamping jaws and threaded rod assembly and tighten to seat the mechanism.

• Slide the beam into place; only 19 mm of travel is required for full engagement.

• Once engaged and tightened, the connection becomes immediately load bearing.
