MEGANT 310 x 60 x 40 – Heavy Duty Beam Hanger

The MEGANT 310 x 60 x 40 is a high-capacity mass timber beam hanger engineered for demanding post-and-beam and girder-to-beam connections. Manufactured from precision-machined aluminum, the system consists of two identical connector plates, a pair of interlocking clamping jaws, and a threaded rod assembly that automatically locks the connection once engaged.

Its unique design allows installation from all four directions, including upward installation from below, with only 19 mm of insertion travel required to fully seat the connection. The MEGANT system accommodates 3 mm of installation tolerance, supports concealed installation for enhanced fire performance, and provides fast, reliable assembly with a high level of prefabrication.

MEGANT connectors are designed for timber-to-timber, timber-to-steel, and timber-to-concrete configurations and have been tested and approved under ETA 15/0667

• 24 pcs fully threaded RICON S CS 8 × 160 mm screws (45° installation per ETA)

• ICC-approved ASSY VG CSK or equivalent KNAPP screws according to ETA 15/0667

Material

• Aluminum alloy AW 6082 components

• Threaded rod and hardware per ETA specifications

• Rout or CNC machine the recess in both main and secondary members according to MEGANT installation dimensions.

• Pre-drill angled and perpendicular screw holes using a MEGANT drilling jig for accurate screw alignment.

• Install the connector plates on both members with the specified fully threaded screws.

• Insert the clamping jaws and threaded rod, tightening the rod assembly to bring both jaws into full bearing.

• Engage the beams by sliding the connector into place. Only 19 mm of travel is required for full seating.

• Connection becomes immediately load-bearing once fully engaged and tightened.
