MEGANT 430 x 100 x 40 – Heavy Duty Beam Hanger

The MEGANT 430 x 100 x 40 is a pre engineered high capacity beam hanger system developed for mass timber post and beam and girder connections. Precision machined from high strength aluminum, the system includes two connector plates and an interlocking pair of clamping jaws that automatically lock the connection once engaged.

Installation is possible from any direction — top, bottom, or either side — with only 19 mm of insertion travel required to fully seat the connector. The MEGANT system compensates up to 3 mm of manufacturing or installation tolerance, supports fully concealed installation for improved fire performance, and provides repeatable, shop friendly prefabrication and fast on site assembly.

MEGANT connectors are ETA approved under ETA 15/0667 and are suitable for structural timber to timber, timber to steel, and timber to concrete interfaces. With ICC approved screw patterns, the system delivers reliable high capacity performance for engineered mass timber structures.

Material

• Aluminum alloy AW 6082 connector plates and clamping jaws

• Threaded rod system per ETA specifications

• CNC or rout the housing per MEGANT dimensions for a concealed installation, or mount plates flush for a visible configuration.

• Pre-drill angled (45°) and perpendicular screw holes using a MEGANT drilling jig for accurate screw placement.

• Install connector plates using the required fully threaded screws.

• Insert and tighten the clamping jaws and threaded rods until fully seated.

• Slide the beam into place — only 19 mm of travel is required for full engagement.

• Once engaged and tightened, the connector becomes immediately load bearing.
