MEGANT 430 x 60 x 40 – Heavy Duty Beam Hanger

The MEGANT 430 x 60 x 40 is a pre engineered high-capacity beam hanger system developed for mass timber post and beam and girder connections. Manufactured from precision machined aluminum, the system uses two connector plates and a paired set of interlocking clamping jaws that automatically lock the connection once engaged.

Installation is possible from any direction — top, bottom, or either side — with only 19 mm of travel required to fully seat the connector. The MEGANT system compensates for up to 3 mm of tolerance, supports fully concealed installation for improved fire resistance, and provides consistent, replicable assembly in both shop prefabrication and on-site installation.

MEGANT connectors are approved under ETA 15/0667 and are suitable for structural timber to timber, timber to steel, and timber to concrete interfaces. With engineered geometry and ICC-approved screw configurations, MEGANT provides reliable performance for high-capacity mass timber structures.

Material

• High-strength aluminum alloy components

• Threaded rod assembly per ETA specifications

• CNC or rout the housing to the specified MEGANT dimensions for concealed installation, or mount plates flush for a visible installation.

• Pre-drill angled and perpendicular screw holes using a MEGANT drilling jig for precise alignment.

• Install the connector plates with the required fully threaded screws.

• Insert and tighten the clamping jaws and threaded rod until fully seated.

• Slide the beam into place; only 19 mm of movement is required for full engagement.

• Once engaged and tensioned, the connector becomes immediately load-bearing.
