RICON 40 x 160 EA Stainless Steel Beam Hanger

The RICON 40 x 160 EA Stainless Steel Beam Hanger is a concealed single connection system designed for timber-to-timber, timber-to-steel, or timber-to-concrete joints in exterior or moisture-exposed environments. Manufactured from A2 stainless steel, it provides lasting corrosion resistance for outdoor applications while maintaining the clean, hidden appearance that defines the RICON series.

Each connector consists of two identical A2 stainless steel plates that interlock in a dovetail-like fashion. One plate is recessed into the beam end, and the other mounts to the adjoining member. As the plates engage, they self-align and form a tight, gap-free joint. Installation is fast, accurate, and repeatable using the included self-tapping stainless steel screws. The connection can be installed fully concealed or visible and disassembled for reuse if needed.

• Fire Resistance: R30 ≥ 20 mm, R60 ≥ 40 mm (four-sided concealed installation)

• ETA Extension: Certified for use with hardwoods and impregnated woods (oak, larch, Accoya)

• Mill a recess into the beam end using the provided template.

• Mount one stainless steel plate to the beam using A2 self-tapping screws (5×50 mm, 5×80 mm, 8×50 mm, and 8×80 mm).

• Attach the opposite plate to the post, wall, or structural support.

• Align and slide the plates together until fully interlocked.

• Secure with the stainless steel locking bracket if required.

• Verify alignment and tighten all fasteners to specification.
