RICON 40 x 40 EA Stainless Steel Beam Hanger

The RICON 40 x 40 EA Stainless Steel Beam Hanger is a compact concealed connector designed for smaller timber assemblies and outdoor applications where corrosion resistance is required. This version uses A2 stainless steel plates that interlock in a dovetail-like fashion, allowing small beams, rails, or posts to be joined cleanly and securely.

The connector installs using stainless steel self-tapping screws on both the end grain and face grain of the timber element. It can be used fully concealed or visible and is suitable for hardwoods, softwoods, and impregnated timber products such as Accoya.

• Prepare the Timber Element

  • Mill a recess for concealed installation if required.

• Install the First Plate

  • Attach with A2 5 × 50 mm and 5 × 80 mm screws according to screw pattern.

• Mount the Opposing Plate

  • Fasten to the mating member in mirrored orientation.

• Engage the Connection

  • Slide the two plates together until fully interlocked.

• Optional Locking Bracket

  • Insert the stainless steel locking bracket to secure the connection if needed.

• Verify Fit

  • Ensure plates are fully seated and the joint is tight.
