RICON DA 40 x 100 VM78 Beam Hanger

The RICON DA 40 x 100 VM78 Beam Hanger is a concealed double connection system for joining two beams to a single post. It uses through-post compound nuts to maintain alignment and prevent screw interference in cross-joint applications.

With compact 100 mm plates, this version is suited for shallow beam profiles or applications with tight spacing requirements. The VM78 configuration includes 78 mm compound nuts designed for 80 mm post sections, providing deep anchorage and structural stability. The system ensures a flush, hidden joint and allows quick installation or removal during prefabrication or maintenance.

• Mill the recess into the end grain of each beam according to the template.

• Mount the plates using SK-screws (5×80 mm, 5×50 mm, and 8×80 mm).

• Drill through the post and insert the compound nuts (M8 10×78 mm).

• Attach the opposite plates with M8x25 SK-screws.

• Align and slide both beams into position until the plates interlock.

• Secure the connection using the supplied locking brackets.

• Verify alignment and perform final tightening before finishing.
