The RICON DA 40 x 140 VM48 Beam Hanger is a concealed double connection system for joining two beams to a single post. This configuration uses through-post compound nuts to ensure accurate alignment and prevent screw overlap between intersecting members.

The VM48 version features 48 mm compound nuts designed for 50 mm post sections, making it ideal for compact structural layouts and lighter framing applications. Its 140 mm connector plates provide reliable load transfer for slender beam profiles while maintaining a completely hidden joint. The system combines strength, precision, and fast installation in both prefabricated and on-site timber construction.

• Mill the recess in the end grain of both beams according to the template.

• Attach the connector plates using the supplied SK-screws (5×80 mm, 5×50 mm, and 8×80 mm).

• Drill through the post and insert the compound nuts (M8 10×48 mm).

• Secure the opposite plates to the post using M8x25 SK-screws.

• Align and slide both beams together until the plates interlock.

• Install the locking brackets to secure the connection.

• Verify alignment and perform final tightening before finishing.
