The RICON DA 40 x 160 VM78 Beam Hanger is a precision-engineered double connection system designed for cross-joint timber applications where two horizontal beams meet on the same post. This model features through-post compound nuts with an 80 mm depth, providing secure fastening and alignment across thicker post sections.

Developed for concealed, high-performance structural joints, the VM78 variant allows precise assembly and disassembly, making it ideal for post-and-beam timber-glass facades, modular buildings, and engineered wood structures that require flexibility during installation. The connection offers excellent load-bearing capacity, tight tolerances, and a clean architectural finish.

• Cut the required recess into the end grain of both horizontal beams.

• Mount the connector plates using the supplied SK-screws (5×80 mm, 5×50 mm, and 8×80 mm).

• Drill through the post to create boreholes for the compound nuts (M8 10×78 mm).

• Insert the compound nuts and attach the opposite plates with M8x25 SK-screws.

• Align both beams and slide the plates together until fully engaged.

• Install the locking brackets to secure the connection.

• Verify joint alignment and make final adjustments before closing the assembly.
