The RICON S 60 x 200 VS is a high-capacity mass timber beam hanger designed for fast and structurally reliable post-to-beam and beam-to-beam connections. Made from galvanized steel, the connector consists of two identical plates with a welded collar bolt that provides the highest load capacity in the RICON S family. The dovetail-like engagement requires only 35 mm of travel, enabling fast drop-in assembly with minimal site work.
The VS version is ICC ESR-4300 approved and suitable for code-regulated mass timber structures in North America. Installation uses structural screws driven perpendicular to the plate with no pre-drilling required. The connector may be installed fully concealed within a milled recess or visibly on the surface. Optional locking clips are available to secure the connection against pull-out forces, such as wind suction loads.
The RICON S 60 x 200 VS is used for timber to timber, timber to steel, and timber to concrete connections in mass timber, CLT, glulam, and engineered wood construction.

Instructions
-
Mill the recess using CNC equipment or the MULTI F 40 routing jig for concealed installations.
-
Position each connector bracket and install SK screws perpendicular to the plate.
-
Ensure the welded collar bolt is aligned with the receiving bracket.
-
Slide and hook beams together until fully engaged. Only 35 mm of movement is required.
-
Install an optional locking clip if additional mechanical securing is needed.
-
Once engaged, the connector is immediately load-bearing.
Notes:
-
Follow ESR-4300 conditions for use in code-regulated mass timber designs.
-
Double connector installations require independent screw paths and spacing compliance.
