Stilhof Commercial Building – Brunnthal, Germany

The Stilhof commercial building in Brunnthal, Germany, was constructed between 2014 and 2015 as a multi-use facility showcasing timber construction with MEGANT and RICON connectors. The project prioritized a short construction timeline while ensuring durability and a high level of interior design finish.
Designed by M13 Architekten GmbH with engineering by IGK Ingenieurgesellschaft Klein mbH, the building was constructed by Gumpp und Maier GmbH for client Remo Stilhof.
Key highlights:
Connector technology: Heavy-duty MEGANT connectors secured the main structural joints, while RICON connectors enabled quick assembly of modular timber elements.
Construction efficiency: The choice of timber construction allowed rapid installation, meeting the owner’s need for a short construction period.
Design features: The facility integrates natural stone, parquet flooring, and tailored concepts for kitchen, bath, and fireplace spaces.
Scale: Gross building volume of 11,250 m³ with 2,466 m² of usable floor space.
Use case: Commercial building with a mix of functional and aesthetic elements, designed for long-term use.
This project demonstrates how MEGANT and RICON connectors provide structural strength, speed, and architectural versatility for modern commercial buildings.
