HUF Haus – Timber Frame with KNAPP Connectors

In 2020, a modern HUF Haus residence was built using KNAPP connectors to streamline the timber frame construction process. The project demonstrates how connector technology can speed up residential building timelines while ensuring long-term strength and clean design.
The house, designed by architect Josef Günster and constructed by HUF Haus, features a glued timber framework in a half-timbered architectural style. To meet the structural and aesthetic requirements, the builders relied on a combination of RICON S connectors and WALCO V connectors.
Key benefits included:
Fast construction timeline – the 219 m² house was completed in about two weeks.
Strong timber frame connections – load-bearing joints supported by RICON and WALCO connectors.
Clean architectural design – concealed connectors maintained the modern, open look of the home.
This project illustrates how KNAPP connectors help residential builders deliver precision, speed, and reliability in timber frame construction.
