QUATRO 65 – Hidden Deck Panel and Board Connector

The QUATRO 65 Hidden Deck Connector is a concealed fastening system for wood deck boards and terrace planks. Made of UV- and weather-resistant fiberglass-reinforced plastic with stainless steel screws, the QUATRO 65 eliminates visible screw heads on the walking surface — from the first board to the last.

Each set includes a pair of interlocking connectors and stainless steel screws. The connectors sit between adjacent deck boards on the joist, creating a controlled gap that provides drainage, rear ventilation, and room for the natural shrinking and swelling of wood. The result is a cleaner deck surface and better wood protection.

Steps

1. Lay out joists at the specified spacing (500 mm typical). Ensure joists are level and properly supported.
2. Position the first deck board on the joists.
3. Place a QUATRO 65 connector pair on each joist, positioned against the edge of the installed board.
4. Screw through the connector into the joist using the included stainless steel screws.
5. Slide the next deck board into position against the installed connectors.
6. Repeat for each board across the deck. The system provides concealed fastening through to the last board.

Tips

• Even the best connecting system cannot compensate for poor timber quality. Ensure that the timber is dry and avoid timber from the core (pith wood) and spiral-grained boards.
• Maximum recommended board length is 3 meters (9.8 ft.).
• Pre-drill when working with hardwoods, particularly oak.
• Follow the installation recommendations of your timber supplier in addition to the QUATRO 65 instructions.
• The QUATRO 65 can also be used as a spacer to maintain consistent joint widths (4.5 or 9 mm) between boards.
• If the joint width is greater than 7 mm, reduce the standard connector spacing of 31.5 mm accordingly. For example: 12 mm joint width requires 27 mm spacing.
