Steps

1. Cut the mortise with a 2-Flute Straight Router Bit (13/32″) and a Router Bushing (1″ OD) using the MULTI F Routing Jig.
   Note: Select the correct Routing Jig size for the DUO 90×46. Optionally, use the Router Base Plate Adapter to hold the Router Bushing (1″ OD).

2. Align the Routing Jig and cut a 13 mm deep mortise into either the end-grain or face of the wood. Mortise width is preset; mortise length corresponds to the connector size.

3. Position one DUO 90×46 connector plate into the mortise and use it as a jig to predrill screw holes.

4. Fasten the first connector plate with the screws provided.

5. Place the second plate over the first and insert pan head screws until snug for accurate depth and alignment.

6. Install the second connector plate with the screws provided.

7. Assemble the components by tapping together with a rubber mallet.

Tips

• The dovetail-style interlock delivers maximum joint stability.

• The connection can be re-tightened over time to accommodate shrinkage or swelling of wood.
