Mod-eez Flat Double Clip Non-Locking

The Mod-eez 4036B Flat Double Clip represents the next evolution of the Mod-eez fastening system, combining the proven strength of the 4037 series with a new flat, CNC-optimized design.

This innovative flat clip mounts directly onto the face of a panel, eliminating the need for end-grain routing and simplifying the assembly process. Designed for use with Mod-eez Shoulder Screws, it forms a strong, concealed, and self-tightening connection that is immediately load-bearing once engaged.

The 4036B features two non-locking clips in one body, allowing fast and easy disassembly. Made of high-strength spring steel, it’s ideal for RTA furniture, cabinetry, and modular casework. Its double-clip geometry provides two points of contact for superior alignment, strength, and anti-rotation stability.

Note: For optimal mounting performance, Euro Screws M4.8 x 10 are recommended.
Optional mounting screws include #6 x 1/2 in and #6 x 5/8 in flat head screws when material thickness and application allow.

Steps

1. Machine the pocket in the panel face according to the 4036B routing chart.

   • Pocket depth: 3.1 mm

   • Pocket width: 11 mm

   • Pocket length: 97 mm

2. Pre-drill 5/32 in (4 mm) holes, 32 mm on center, or follow CNC toolpath specifications.

3. Mount the 4036B using Euro Screws M4.8 x 10

   • Optional: #6 x 1/2 Flat Head screws or #6 x 5/8 Flat Head screws can also be used as mounting screws when panel thickness and application allow.

4. Install the Mod-eez Shoulder Screws on the mating panel.

5. Align and slide the Shoulder Screw heads down the clip ramps until fully seated.

Tips

• Designed specifically for CNC routing and automated assembly.

• Use longer screws (e.g. 5 × 60 mm) only if material thickness allows.

• Ideal for use with MDF, plywood, solid wood, and composite panels.
