Mod‑eez 4063AZ Semi‑Locking Clip Zinc Plated for 3/4″+ Stock

The Mod-eez 4063AZ Single Clip is the zinc-plated, semi-locking version of the 4060 Series for 3/4 inch and thicker stock. Built from spring steel with a protective zinc coating, it provides enhanced corrosion resistance while delivering the same concealed, self-tightening performance as the standard 4063A.

The semi-locking geometry makes the joint harder to take apart than non-locking clips, providing a more secure hold while still allowing controlled disassembly. It’s an excellent choice for projects requiring added durability and moisture protection, such as millwork in environments with changing humidity.

Steps

1. Route the pocket for the clip according to the Mod-eez technical chart.

2. Pre-drill 5/32 inch (4 mm) holes, 32 mm on center, using the K617 Drilling and Depth Jig to ensure proper placement and depth.

3. Mount the clip with PH screws Ø 4.5 mm.

4. Pre-drill and install the Shoulder Screw in the mating panel.

5. Engage the joint by sliding the Shoulder Screw head into the clip ramp, tapping gently with a rubber mallet if needed.

Tips

• Zinc coating provides extra protection against wear and humidity.

• Semi-locking geometry is ideal when joints should hold more securely but still be serviceable.

• Longer PH screws (5 × 60 mm) can be used for additional holding strength.

• Clips can also be welded to 16 ga. steel if required.
