Mod‑eez 5031 Locking Clip for 3/4″+ Stock

The Mod-eez 5031 Single Clip is the locking version of the 5030 Series for 3/4 inch and thicker stock. Made of durable spring steel, this clip pairs with a Mod-eez Shoulder Screw to form a permanent joint that cannot be disassembled without damaging the connector.

The locking geometry ensures the Shoulder Screw head is securely captured in the clip ramp, providing maximum holding power for applications where strength and permanence are required. Once assembled, all fasteners are fully concealed, leaving a clean finish.

Steps

1. Route the pocket for the Mod-eez Clip according to the technical chart.

2. Use the K617 Drilling and Depth Jig to pre-drill 5/32 inch (4 mm) holes, 32 mm on center, ensuring proper pocket depth.

3. Mount the clip with PH screws Ø 4.5 mm (length as required).

4. Pre-drill and install the Shoulder Screw in the mating panel.

5. Slide the Shoulder Screw head into the clip ramp until it locks in place permanently.

Tips

• Locking clips are best when joints should remain fixed and non-removable.

• For added holding power, use longer PH screws (5 × 60 mm).

• When welding clips to steel (approx. 16 ga.), wire welding is recommended.
