Mod‑eez 5032A Semi‑Locking Clip for 3/4″+ Stock

The Mod-eez 5032A Single Clip is the semi-locking version of the 5030 Series for 3/4 inch and thicker stock. Built from spring steel, this connector offers greater holding security than non-locking clips while still allowing controlled disassembly when needed.

By pairing with a Mod-eez Shoulder Screw, the 5032A creates a concealed, self-tightening connection that resists loosening in use but can be taken apart with more effort. This makes it the ideal choice for projects requiring added stability without committing to a fully permanent joint.

Steps

1. Route the pocket for the clip according to the Mod-eez technical chart.

2. Use the K617 Drilling and Depth Jig to pre-drill 5/32 inch (4 mm) holes, 32 mm on center, and check pocket depth.

3. Mount the clip with PH screws Ø 4.5 mm.

4. Pre-drill and install the Shoulder Screw in the opposing panel.

5. Engage the Shoulder Screw head into the clip ramp; clip holds firmly in place but allows controlled disassembly.

Tips

• Semi-locking clips are best for joints that need to stay tight but not be truly permanent.

• Longer PH screws (5 × 60 mm) can provide added holding strength.

• As with all Mod-eez clips, they can be welded to 16 ga. steel if required.
