Mod‑eez 5062 Semi‑Locking Clip for 3/4″+ Stock

The Mod-eez 5062 Single Clip is the semi-locking version of the 5060 Series for 3/4 inch and thicker stock. It combines a spring steel ramp clip with a Shoulder Screw to create a concealed, self-tightening joint that is more secure than non-locking clips, while still allowing disassembly when needed.

The semi-locking geometry provides stronger retention compared to pass-thru or non-locking versions, making it ideal for applications that require added stability but do not need a fully permanent connection.

Steps

1. Route the pocket for the Mod-eez Clip according to the technical chart.

2. Use the K618 Drilling and Depth Jig to pre-drill 5/32 inch (4 mm) holes, 32 mm on center, verifying pocket depth.

3. Mount the clip with PH screws Ø 4.5 mm.

4. Pre-drill and install the Shoulder Screw in the mating panel.

5. Engage the Shoulder Screw head into the clip ramp until the joint is fully seated.

Tips

• Semi-locking clips provide greater holding power than non-locking but still allow controlled disassembly

• Use longer PH screws (5 × 60 mm) to increase strength for heavier loads

• Can be welded to 16 ga. steel using wire welding for specialty installations
