Mod‑eez 6064 Locking Clip for 1″+ Stock

The Mod-eez 6064 Single Clip is the locking version of the 6060 Series, designed for 1 inch and thicker stock. Manufactured from durable spring steel, it pairs with a Mod-eez Shoulder Screw to create a concealed, self-tightening joint.

Unlike the 6063 Non-Locking version, the 6064 is engineered for permanence. Once the Shoulder Screw head slides into the ramp, it cannot be removed without damage. This makes the 6064 ideal for applications requiring long-term stability and joints that must never be taken apart.

Steps

1. Route a pocket measuring 50 mm × 12 mm × 11 mm deep in the workpiece.

2. Pre-drill two pilot holes for #10 pan head screws: 2.5 mm in softwood or 2.8 mm in hardwood.

3. Secure the 6064 clip with PH screws Ø 4.5 mm.

4. Pre-drill and install the Mod-eez Shoulder Screw in the mating panel.

5. Slide the Shoulder Screw head into the clip ramp until it locks permanently.

Tips

• Use 11.2 mm pocket depth for tighter fits or 10.8 mm for easier assembly.

• Locking clips are best for applications where the connection should never be disassembled.

• Longer PH screws (5 × 60 mm) can improve holding power in heavy-duty builds.
