Mod-eez 4031 Pass-Thru Set – Concealed Connector

The Mod-eez 4031 Pass-Thru Set is designed for secure and concealed assembly of panels in 5/8 inch and thicker stock. Made from high-strength spring steel, this clip works in combination with the included Shoulder Screw to create a durable, self-tightening joint.

Unlike non-locking or semi-locking clips, the pass-thru design allows the Shoulder Screw head to pass completely through the clip, providing flexibility for specific construction and assembly needs. The result is a fast, clean connection with no visible hardware.

Steps

1. Route a pocket measuring approx. 42.5 mm long × 12 mm wide × 11 mm deep in the workpiece.

2. Pre-drill two pilot holes for the mounting screws: 2.4 mm (softwood) or 2.8 mm (hardwood).

3. Secure the 4031 Pass-Thru Clip with the included PH #10 screws.

4. Pre-drill and install the included 5 mm × 1/2″ Shoulder Screw in the mating panel.

5. Slide the Shoulder Screw head fully into the clip ramp until engaged.

Tips

• For tighter fits, increase pocket depth to 11.2 mm; for easier assembly, reduce to 10.8 mm.

• Use the K617 Drilling and Depth Jig for accurate placement and depth control.

• The pass-thru clip is best used where the Shoulder Screw needs to pass fully through the clip for additional assembly flexibility.
