The Mod-eez 6065–6066 Sex Bolt Set is a heavy-duty through-panel fastener designed for 3/4″ and thicker divider panels. This set pairs a 1/4-28 UNF fine-thread shoulder bolt — the largest diameter in the Mod-eez system — with a matching sex bolt barrel, allowing Mod-eez clip connections on both sides of a shared divider panel at the exact same position.

This is the strongest sex bolt set in the Mod-eez lineup. The 1/4″ bolt diameter provides significantly more shear strength than the #10-32 alternative at the same material thickness, making it the right choice for commercial casework, institutional furniture, and any application demanding maximum connection strength.

Steps

1. Drill a through-hole in the divider panel at the desired connection point.
2. Insert the 6065 shoulder bolt from one side of the panel.
3. Insert the 6066 sex bolt barrel from the opposite side.
4. Thread the bolt and barrel together until both shoulders sit flush against the panel faces.
5. Install Mod-eez clips in the mating components.
6. Slide components onto the exposed shoulders from each side.

Tips

• This is the strongest sex bolt set available. For standard-duty 3/4″+ applications, the #10-32 set (5065–5666) also works and uses a smaller through-hole.
• The 1/4″ diameter requires a correspondingly larger through-hole than the #10-32 or M4 sets.
