WALCO V80 VK Screw & Collar Bolt Prefab Wall Connector

The WALCO V80 VK Prefab Wall Connector is a concealed wall-to-wall connection system designed for fast and precise installation of prefabricated timber and CLT wall panels. This VK version uses a screwed collar bolt that engages into a hot-dip galvanized V-shaped receiving bracket, forming a durable connection that transfers both vertical and horizontal loads.

The connector is engineered for workshop prefabrication and rapid on-site assembly. Once the collar bolt is installed in the wall panel, the element is simply slid into the V-shaped bracket on the adjacent wall. This dovetail-like engagement provides stable alignment from the first corner onward and eliminates the need for additional external fastening during installation.

• Install the VK Collar Bolt:

  • Pre-drill as required.

  • Fasten the collar bolt and its countersunk screw directly into the timber (with or without an interlayer).

• Prepare the Bracket:

  • Fix the V80 bracket to the adjacent wall panel using the approved screw positions.

  • Ensure vertical alignment per layout drawings.

• Engage the Joint:

  • Position the wall element so the collar bolt aligns with the V-shaped opening.

  • Slide the wall into place until fully seated.

• Adjust Tolerances:

  • Use the natural adjustment capabilities of the system to correct small on-site deviations.

• Finalize Assembly:

  • Confirm tight contact and alignment.

  • No additional fasteners are required once engaged.
