easy-con – Sample Pack

The easy-con Sample Pack includes two high-quality connectors designed for precise, invisible joints in staircases, furniture, and panel construction. These connectors provide strength, reliability, and a clean aesthetic, eliminating the need for visible bolts or cover caps.

Included in the pack:

• 1 × easy-con M8-16-50

• 1 × easy-con M8-16-25

Each easy-con connector is made of high-strength stainless steel and includes a tightening bolt, set screw, and screw-in dowel. Once assembled, the joint is force-fit, demountable, and can be re-tightened at any time. The system meets European building code Z-50.4-325 and is ideal for both shop fabrication and on-site installation.

The two versions differ by borehole placement:

• M8-16-50: hole center 50 mm from board end

• M8-16-25: hole center 25 mm from board end

Steps

1. Drill borehole #1 for the tensioning barrel (Ø 16 mm × 28 mm).

2. Drill borehole #2 for the spring bolt:

   • Ø 16 mm × 70 mm for M8-16-50

   • Ø 16 mm × 50 mm for M8-16-25

3. Drill borehole #3 for the threaded spring insert (Ø 25 mm × 20 mm).

4. Insert the tensioning barrel into borehole #1.

5. Insert the spring bolt into borehole #2 and fasten the set screw with an Allen wrench.

6. Screw the threaded insert into borehole #3.

7. Join the parts by inserting the bolt into the threaded insert and tighten the set screw until secure.

Tips

• Do not fully tighten the set screw before attaching the workpiece.

• Easy-con works with both solid and composite wood materials.

• Connections can be disassembled and re-tightened without wear or damage.
