Instructions
Installation into Wood

Mark and Drill
-
Drill a pilot hole of Ø 11–12 mm depending on wood hardness.

Ensure hole depth matches the full length of the threaded shaft.

Install the Shaft
-
Screw in the shaft using a wrench or the Zipbolt 40.540 Deep Socket Tool.
-
Leave approximately 14 mm (9/16 in) shaft center exposed for housing alignment.
-

Mount the Post
-
Position the newel post over the shaft.
-
Insert the diecast gear housing into the post and align over the thread.
-
-
Tighten the Housing
-
Using a T40 Torx bit or 5 mm hex bit, tighten the gear housing with a cordless screwdriver.
-
Do not use an impact driver to avoid over-tightening.
-

Final Check
-
Verify that the post is aligned and securely fastened.

Installation into Concrete
-
Drill and Clean the Hole

Bore a hole slightly larger than the external thread and to the required depth.

Blow or vacuum all dust and debris from the hole.

Apply Epoxy
-
Fill one-third to one-half of the hole with epoxy resin adhesive.
-

Install the Shaft
-
Insert the Super UT shaft, ensuring correct height alignment.

Wipe away excess epoxy and allow to set per adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.

Attach and Tighten
-
Once the epoxy has cured, assemble the post and tighten the gear housing as in the wood installation steps above.

Finish

Plug the access hole if desired and confirm the connection is solid.
