Instructions
Steps
-
Prepare the Components
-
Mark the center hole for the insert screw.

Bore a 12 mm (15/32 in) perpendicular hole. For hardwoods, slightly increase bore size to 12.5–13 mm and apply wax for easier threading.
-
-
Install the Insert Screw
-
Drive in the insert screw using an 8 mm hex bit or Allen key.
-
Ensure it sits flush or slightly below the surface.
-
-
Drill the Railing or Mating Component
-
Bore holes according to the specified diameters and distances.
-
Depending on material thickness, connectors may be set deeper into the wood.
-
-
Insert the Screw Shaft
-
Thread the screw shaft into the insert screw counterclockwise until secure.
-
-
Assemble the Joint
-
Push the two components together until aligned.
-
-
Tighten the Connection
-
Place the gear housing onto the screw shaft thread.
-
Tighten using a 5 mm hex bit in a power drill or manual driver.
-
Optional: Plug the 25 mm (1 in) access hole after assembly.
-
Tips
-
Avoid using an impact driver to prevent damage to the gear housing.
-
For maximum strength, use with dowels and adhesives during assembly.
-
Ensure alignment before final tightening to prevent joint stress.
