RICON DA 40 x 80 VM48 Beam Hanger

The RICON DA 40 x 80 VM48 Beam Hanger is a concealed double connection system for joining two beams to a single post. Designed for small-scale or compact assemblies, it provides a strong, fully hidden joint that ensures precise alignment through the use of through-post compound nuts.

This version features 80 mm connector plates and 48 mm compound nuts for 50 mm post sections. The shorter fastening depth makes the VM48 configuration ideal for lighter timber applications or structures with reduced post thickness while still offering dependable structural performance.

• Mill the recess in the end grain of both beams using the supplied template.

• Mount the connector plates using SK-screws (5×80 mm, 5×50 mm, and 8×80 mm).

• Drill through the post and insert the compound nuts (M8 10×48 mm).

• Attach the opposite plates using M8x25 SK-screws.

• Align and slide both beams together until the plates interlock.

• Install the locking brackets to secure the joint.

• Verify alignment and tighten all screws before final assembly.
