Description

The tried and tested KNAPP® biscuit connectors can be utilized for all wood products and are simply snapped together. They are mostly used for the manufacturing of furniture and case goods while it can also serve as a universal gluing aid and come in handy for complicated parts, such as miter joints. The design and functionality of all our biscuit connectors are essentially the same; the choice between them depends on the application, material, and personal preference.

You have two identical half-moon shaped connectors that sit in a biscuit route and interlock with each other when you join the components. This creates a self-tightening joint with no visible connector parts and can be demounted if needed.

The SUNNY biscuit is a #20 self-tightening, non-visible plastic slide-in connector with integrated locking tabs and can be used in all wood materials. The two identical connector halves are simply knocked into the biscuit slot with a hammer. The patented cutting edges hold the connector in the groove with no glue required. Simply slide the connector halves into each other to carry out the assembly.

SILVER

The SILVER biscuit is a #20 self-tightening, non-visible, aluminum die-cast, slide-in connector with integrated locking tabs and can be used in all wood materials, especially for solid wood (hardwood). The two identical connector halves are simply knocked into the biscuit slot with a hammer. The patented cutting edges hold the connector in the groove with no glue required. Simply insert and then slide connector halves into each other to carry out the assembly.

FAST

K058_FAST.jpgThe FAST biscuit is a #20 self-tightening, non-visible plastic snap-in connector and can be used in all wood materials. The two connector pieces are simply knocked into the biscuit cut with a hammer. The patented cutting edges hold the connector in the slot with no glue required. Simply snap-in the male into the female part to carry out the assembly.

CHAMP

The tried and tested CHAMP biscuit is a #20 self-tightening, non-visible plastic slide-in connector and universally used for all types of materials for furniture, case goods, and architectural millwork. The two halves of the plastic connector are simply glued into the slot. Through the holes on the bottom part of the connector, the KNAPP Adhesive PU+ (Z011/1) can bond firmly to the material. After the curing, simply slide the parts together and tighten up the joint.

METAL

The METAL biscuit is a #20 self-tightening, non-visible zinc die-casting slide-in connector with integrated locking tabs and is suitable for load-bearing joints for panels and boards. The connector halves are inserted and screwed into the biscuit slot with pan-head screws. Simply slide the connector halves into each other to carry out the assembly.

CLIPS

K054_CLIPS.jpgThe CLIPS biscuit is a #10 two-piece snap-in plastic connector and can be glued in all wood materials. The ribbed pin is simply snapped into the fork. The ribs in the pin enable the position of a part to be adjusted; it can also be rotated 360° around the axis of the pin. This allows for a wide range of applications: from louvered vents to access panels, which can simply be snapped-in as well as serves simultaneously as a connector and hinge.
