Instructions for Installing the Angled Railbolt Connector

Step 1: Install the Keyhole Disc

  • After completing the prep work, drill a 1″ hole into the newel post.
  • Install the keyhole disc using the provided screws. Ensure the disc is flush or slightly recessed into the post for a proper fit.

Step 2: Dry Fit the Railbolt

  • Dry fit the railbolt to the newel post to ensure the proper angle and alignment.
  • If necessary, adjust the cut to achieve the correct fit and angle before proceeding.

Step 3: Glue and Tighten

  • Once satisfied with the fit, apply glue to the connection and insert the angled railbolt tip into the keyhole disc.
  • Using the included 5mm hex bit, tighten the gear-driven die-cast housing with a cordless screwdriver to secure the connection.

Important Note:

  • Do not use an impact driver to tighten the gear housing, as this could cause over-tightening or damage.
